Parks, Judson win weekly awards
Jarrod Parks (Mississippi State) of the Bethesda Big Train has been named the Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Baseball League Player of the Week for the week of June 29 to July 5. Parks led the League with a .500 batting average last week, collecting eight hits in 16 at-bats. He hit in four of five games last week and had multiple hits in three of them. He homered against the Alexandria Aces on July 1, starting a three-game RBI streak. Parks finished the week with two doubles and a single against the Rockville Express on July 5. For the week, Parks scored twice and walked three times, striking out just once. This was the second Player of the Week nod for Parks this season, as he earned the honors in Week 1.

Kyle Judson (Salisbury) of the College Park Bombers has been named the Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Baseball League Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 29 to July 5. Judson had two stellar starts for the Bombers last week and earned the win in both. He tossed a seven-inning one-hit shutout against the Maryland Redbirds on June 29, walking four and striking out three batters in that game to win 2-0. Against the Herndon Braves on July 5, Judson went six innings, allowing a run on four hits and two walks while striking out six in a 2-1 win.
