The number of Ripken League alumni playing in the Appalachian League dropped from 12 in 2009 to just six in 2010, but they still left an impression on the league. Drew Lee was named to the Appalachian League's Post-Season All-Star Team (by Baseball America, as well).

Billy Gross │ West Virginia │ Rockville Express '06

Gross went 1-2, 5.48 in nine relief appearances for the Bluefield Orioles in his second professional season in 2010. He struck out 25 batters in 21.1 innings, and walked only two, but allowed 13 runs on 26 hits, including five homers.
After signing with the Baltimore Orioles as a non-drafted free agent, Gross went 1-2, 2.60 with a save in 12 relief appearances for the Gulf Coast League Orioles. He struck out 16 batters in 17.1 innings and allowed just five runs on 21 hits and just four walks.

Lee acquitted himself well in his first professional season in the Chicago White Sox organization. Playing second base for the Bristol White Sox, Lee hit .282/.308/.435 with 72 hits, including 24 doubles and five home runs. He drove in 39 hits and scored 32, but walked just ten times to 49 strikeouts. Lee stole five bases in nine attempts and was named an Appalachian League Post-Season All-Star and a Baseball America Appalachian League All-Star.

Marshall spent time with the GCL Braves before moving up to the Danville Braves in 2010, his first professional season. In the Gulf Coast League, Marshall went 3-2, 5.03 in seven starts and three relief appearances. For Danville, Marshall went 1-1, 2.70 in two starts and one relief appearance. Combined, he struck out 39 batters in 52.2 innings and allowed 32 runs (26 earned) on 58 hits and 12 walks. Marshall allowed six home runs in 2010.

Martin went 3-5, 4.07 in 13 starts for the Bluefield Orioles in 2010. He struck out 68 batters in 59.2 innings. Martin allowed 38 runs (27 earned) on 43 hits and 46 walks, and opponents hit just .204 off of him. He did not allow a run on just two hits and three walks in five innings to get a win in his final start of the season. Martin struck out eight batters in that game.
Martin reported to the Bluefield Orioles of the Appalachian League after signing with the Baltimore Orioles, but did not pitch in 2009.

Mazur went 0-2, 5.34 in 17 relief appearances for the Rookie-level Burlington Royals after signing a free agent contract with the Kansas City Royals in 2010. He struck out 26 batters in 32 innings and walked just nine, but allowed 23 runs (19 earned) on 38 hits, including five home runs.

Velleggia signed after being drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 40th Round of the 2010 MLB Draft and reported to the Bluefield Orioles of the Appalachian League. He hit .210/.298/.296 in 31 games, collecting 17 hits. Velleggia doubled four times and hit one home run. He drove in eight runs and scored eight.
