Hoes (O's '07-'08), Adams (Big Train '06-'08) featured in BA High School Preview

Thirteen Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Baseball League Alumni earned pre-season All-Conference honors in the Baseball America March College Preview Edition for 2008. In addition to the players listed below, Mitch Harris (Youse's Maryland Orioles 2006) was listed by the magazine as the number two senior in the nation; TJ Hose (Youse's Maryland Orioles 2005) was listed as the number 46 senior in the nation; and Justin Grimm (Youse's Maryland Orioles 2007) was listed as the number 37 freshman in the nation. Baseball America named Harris the Pre-Season Pitcher of the Year in the Patriot League and projected him as the top draft prospect in the conference. The magazine named Alex Buchholz (Youse's Maryland Orioles 2007) the Pre-Season Player of the Year in the Colonial Athletic Association and rated him the league's fourth best draft prospect. BA named Clay Whittemore (Bethesda Big Train 2007) the Pre-Season Player of the Year in the Ohio Valley Conference.

BA's High School Preview edition featured an article on Washington, D.C. high school powerhouse St. John's College (ranked tenth nationally in the pre-season poll). Current Cadets LJ Hoes (Youse's Maryland Orioles 2007-2008) and Hugh Adams (Bethesda Big Train 2006-2008) are featured in the story and former Cadets Zack Feierstein (Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts 2007-2008) and Connor Hoehn (Bethesda Big Train 2007-2008) are also mentioned. Hoes, who also earned Third Team Pre-Season All-America honors from Baseball America is pictured on the cover of the late March High School Preview edition of the magazine.
