He drove in two runs and scored six, and also stole a base in his only attempt. Gibson was also named to the Baseball Coaches Association High School All-America Second Team.

Hoes stole five bases in seven attempts en route to being named to the Cal Ripken, Sr. League All-Star Team. Drafted in the third round by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2008 MLB Draft, Hoes also earned Baseball Coaches Association High School All-America Second Team honors.
Both Hoes and Gibson were named to the Baseball Coaches Association High School All-District Team for District 2, as were Kevin Brady (Gaithersburg (MD) HS/Youse's Orioles 2008) and Dan Schafferman (Dickinson (DE) HS/Youse's Orioles 2008).
Hoes had earned Preseason Third Team All-America honors from Baseball America, while O's teammate Jarret Martin (Centennial (CA) HS) grabbed a spot on the Preseason Second Team.
