Udwari (T'Bolts '05-'06) is 2007 Preseason All-American

Belmont Abbey senior rightfielder Alex Udwari (Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts '05-'06) has earned a spot on Collegiate Baseball’s Division II Preseason All-America team.

Udwari led the Crusaders with a .391 batting average, 55 runs batted in and 93 hits while placing second on the team in home runs (nine) and runs scored (50).

In the CVAC Tournament, in which the Crusaders run ended a game shy of the championship series, Udwari hit .529 with two doubles, two homers, four RBI and five runs scored.

At the conclusion of the 2006 season, the Silver Spring, Maryland native earned Honorable Mention All-America honors by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, as well as first-team All-CVAC, CVAC All-Tournament Team, 2006 ABCA/Rawlings All-South Atlantic Region second-team, and NCBWA All-South Atlantic Region first-team.
