Woodward (Braves '07) added to USA Baseball roster

Third baseman Scott Woodward (Coastal Carolina/Herndon Braves 2007) was added to the USA National Collegiate Team roster just before the team left for the Haarlem Baseball Week in Haarlem, Netherlands (July 5 to July 16) and played with the team throughout the FISU World Championships in the Czech Republic (July 18 to July 27). Woodward collected seven hits in 31 at-bats, including two home runs. He drove in five runs and scored eight, and reached base at a .400 clip.
Woodward made the Baseball America, NCBWA, and Ping!Baseball Freshman All-America teams in 2008 and was Ping!Baseball's Freshman of the Year in Division I. He hit .253 with 19 hits, including three doubles and two triples, in 25 games for the Braves in the Cal Ripken, Sr. League in 2007.
